May 7, 2007 Subject: Kelly Miller Foundation Annual Golf Tournament Dear KM Patron: It is with pride that I announce the Kelly Miller Annual Golf Outing on Friday, July 13, 2007. Friday the 13th will be a lucky day for us! It will be held at Bel Meadow Country Club with a 9AM shotgun start and feature prizes in both men's and women's divisions. Because of your immense support in past years or because we believe you value ideals that are in line with our objectives: helping young students to help themselves, I am asking you to help us this year. Our organization will be extremely grateful and you know that our recipients will continue to make you proud. Our selection process includes choosing students who will succeed, but will also make a contribution to society and West Virginia. Our goal for this event is to grow our endowment to over $50,000. We currently have approximately $44,000 in our endowment funds and have awarded scholarships of over $55,000. This target is a stretch because our yearly budget includes $8000 in scholarships, four at $2000 each, with the remainder of our contributions going into endowment funds, after minimal operating expenses. Your support can come in a number of ways: From matching a scholarship, sponsoring a hole, providing prizes or simply coming out to play. We're grateful for all that you have done in the past and our gratitude will continue with whatever you can do this year. If you're new to our cause, you are joining a group dedicated to making improvements in our society and our back yards.
